Hellooo everybodies! Turns out there's no wireless here so I can't go online as often as I want. Using my housemate's laptop now. They're from the Philippines and they're REALLY nice. V motherly, 40+ yr old aunties. On the first night we arrived, we were so tired from jetlag and all we were just lying on the bed waiting to die, they cooked dinner for us! Cabin's really small. Two rooms, a small kitchen plus dining table which doubles as the living room. Just a brief, summarised version of goingons since I got here, will blog again if they're nice enough to leave the laptop here while they go to NYC. We're 12 hrs behind you by the way.

It's REALLY cold here, about the same temp as HK in winter. It was raining the day we got here, and it was about 12 deg C. Cold and wet. V pitiful dragging our luggage around while we took 2 buses and a cab to get here -.- ulu-er than I expected, although it's only about 1.5hrs away from NYC. By the way transport here is v expensive, we paid 2.65USD just to take a 20min bus ride to the nearest Wal-mart. And taxis here don't go by meter. They charge one price to take you to a place, no matter the number of people. The first day, 8 of us squeezed into a 7-seater cab, with all the luggage and we paid 50USD haha.

Today we walked to the nearest place we could get groceries, which is a petrol kiosk store about a half hour walk away. V scary. Walked along the road and the cars drove by so fast, we could feel the wind, which is COLD. There is no pavement to walk on and the wind just kept coming. Will upload some pictures to show you soon.

Anyways, the coasters here are super super scary. There's this one that comes down almost vertical. I took one on the second day I got here and I almost died. My legs were jelly after the ride haha. I can't really name the rides and the park, cos apparently they google the park name and stuff, v strict internet checks. Company policy. Will show you pictures instead. But the park is huge, seriously, it beats anything else I've seen.

And the sky gets fully dark only at about 9pm and the sun rises v early. The sky is alr up at 5plus in the morning. V nice place, big open spaces, plenty of trees, the weather, the wind, everything. There're 2 other parks nearby, walkable distance, that we can go to when we're not working. I like it here. Only grouse is that there's only limited food within reach, and grocery stores are v far away. There's also this place nearby which has about 70 outlets stores, like nine west, nike, ck and don't know what, can't wait to go. Can't wait to go to NYC too! (:

Anyways, I miss everyone and I miss the food! There's nothing to eat here, regret not taking up old bean's offer of instant mee.
